Agh, everything feels so dry.

The air feels dry and everything else feels even more dry than usual.

I suppose it’s because of the summer time weather. Lately, the warm sun has been unrelenting and beating down everyday, and going well over 90 degrees! To make things worse, it hasn’t rained in 3 months! I suppose our home is start to become a desert. It’s so dry here! I honestly couldn’t wait for the rain to come back. I didn’t have a humidifier, so I used a spray bottle to help get rid of the terrible dry air. This seemed to work, and I just started doing this everyday and taking much longer showers; Without the rain, it made going to work much harder, as I don’t like going outside in the hot, dry weather. I kept checking the weather everyday, but to our disappointment, it was predicted that the warm weather was here to stay. I tried unusual methods of humidity control, but I gave up, my a/c didn’t help, as it only took out humidity and made the air worse. After what feels appreciate a year without rain, I finally woke up one day to find grey, cloudy skies. I pressed our face against the window in disbelief, however finally! A storm was coming and all of this horrible dry air and warm weather can go away. I waited impatiently, and a few minutes later it began to rain outside. I rushed outside and jumped for satisfaction at the falling water, although our fun was short lived as lightning struck close by. The storm lasted most of the evening, and when day came. The sidewalks and turf were covered in raindrops, and the air no longer felt dry. Finally, the rain was back.

So now what is the issue here? It is frustrating that every Summer I need to do AC problemshooting. I don’t want to let it go longer plus longer; Right now I am mildly uncomfortable. On a 90 degree afternoon, the inside of the apartment will be unbearable. I am wondering if I should just cut my losses plus get a whole new AC unit.
