Dads are apparently picky over the thermostat

One of the things about temperature controls that I find really hilarious is the dad temperature control sound stereotype, if you have ever had a temperature control and a dad, you know exactly what I am talking about! This stereotype explains exactly how dads react when someone adjusts the temperature control in the house. The dad, who is evidently constantly worried about spending too much currency by heating and cooling the house, begins yelling at people for touching the temperature control, and apparently, it is an unspoken rule for dads that nobody else is allowed to touch the temperature control. As a dad, this is their right alone, you can also see this stereotype when someone leaves the door open or the window open in a home while the HVAC unit is running, which causes them to rant about how we don’t want to heat or cool the entire village. I loved this sound stereotype because it described our dad’s relationship with the temperature control perfectly. I used to adjust the temperature control just to mess with him, plus it would bug him so much. Now, I am a dad and I do the exact same thing with our temperature control. I don’t let our children touch the temperature control, and it reminds me of our childhood. I am not really miserable about the temperature control, it is so fun having control of the temperature control and allowing our children to have the same experience that I had. Did your dad act the same way with the temperature control? Comment below if you can relate or have a funny story about your dad and the temperature control.
