Survey states that men prefer cold temperatures with heat and fireplaces

I recently read about a study that conducted a survey to determine the differences between male and female preferences of hot or cold environments.

The survey was given to 50 males and 50 females. The survey asked questions such as: would you rather deal with a freezing cold day and stay inside in a home with central heat and a fireplace OR deal with an extremely hot and humid day and have access to central air conditioning. Some more questions asked: would you rather bundle up with layers and sit in front of a fireplace or jump into a cold pool and then go inside to an air conditioned home? The survey results showed that the majority of males preferred cold temperatures with access to central heating and fire places and the majority of females preferred hot temperatures with access to central air conditioning. The study analyzed the results and found that most males feel extremely uncomfortable when they are sweating in the hot temperatures, even if they have access to A/C. The results also found that males don’t mind wearing excess layers of clothing and putting heated seats on in their cars. The results stated that females like hot temperatures because they get to wear clothing like shorts, dresses and bathing suits that they don’t get to wear when it is freezing cold in the winter. Females also don’t mind it being super hot outside as long as they can be at the beach, in a pool or inside in the central air conditioning. Everyone is different in regards to temperature preferences. At least heat and air conditioning are available to keep everyone comfortable and content.
