Nutritional programs are for everyone.

I was taking special college classes so I could become an expert in nutrition and weight loss.

There was a big demand for professional nutrition and weight loss program coordinators.

I thought I would be doing people a service by helping them to get to their perfect weight goals. I learned that nutritional programs are for more than just weight loss. I soon found out that there are many age groups and health concerns that can benefit from a nutritional program. People who are considered elderly, typically don’t eat proper diets. This is either by choice or they can’t afford to eat fresh fruit and vegetables. I help them to learn how to prepare meals and choose healthy options they can afford. I show them meals that are easy to prepare and won’t take up a lot of time or money. Young mothers aren’t always aware of nutritional programs available for themselves and for their children. Unfortunately, we aren’t given a brochure that shows us how to be new mothers or how to watch for nutritional problems that our infants could be having. With the help of a good nutritional program, I am able to show them how to care for their own health while taking care of our babies. Teenagers have different nutritional needs than adults. Working mothers have different nutritional needs than stay-at-home mothers. We can’t eat at sixty, the same as we ate at twenty. I knew I had chosen the right program for my studies; I just didn’t know nutritional programs were important for everyone. I am going to need to take more than one years of classes to learn everything I need to know.
