I Switched to HEPA Air Filters and Added an Air Purifier When Everyone Got Sick

When one person in our house gets sick, we all get sick. This is especially true this year since we’re all stuck inside together all day everyday. Our kids are doing virtual learning and my husband and I have been working from home, which means we’re constantly together. When one of our kids fell ill, it took less than 24 hours for our other kid to get sick and then my husband. I was the only one who wasn’t sick, and I was doing everything I could to keep it that way. I placed each person in a separate room and they all were told to use one dedicated bathroom between the 3 of them. I told them that nobody was allowed to leave their designated space unless they were using the bathroom. I spent an entire day cleaning and sterilizing every inch of our house. I also learned how to replace the air filter on my own! I went out and purchased a pack of HEPA certified air filters and replaced our old air filter with one of the HEPA ones immediately. This was just as important as cleaning and sterilizing the surfaces in our home, if not more important! We were all stuck breathing the same air, and the HEPA air filters are known for eliminating airborne illnesses and bacteria from the air. I also set up our air purifier in the hallway where the bathroom was. I wanted to keep that air as clean as possible whenever our kids and my husband walked from their room to the bathroom. So far, I’ve managed to stay healthy and my family is starting to feel better too!
