I bought a gym membership.

I have been a member of our local free gym for almost five years now. Last year, I decided it was time to leave the free gym and buy a membership into a different gym. I bought my gym membership and waited to discover all of the cool perks of a paid membership. My first day at the gym, they showed me around and introduced me to the personal trainers whom I could choose to employ if I wanted a better workout. They showed me their supplement room and juice bar. I could purchase supplements to help gain weight, lose weight, add muscles, or just to stay trim and have more energy. I could buy juice that had powders and supplements included. They showed me all of the equipment and how to properly use the equipment without getting hurt. Other than the supplements, juices, and personal trainers whom I could pay to work with, the gym wasn’t much different than that of our local free gym. People here had on workout suits with the gyms logo. They were dressed better and they all looked like Barbie and Ken dolls. In our local gym, there were people in sweats and of all ages, all working out together. You had some of the Barbie and Ken doll look-alikes, but they didn’t flaunt it. After just one month of being with the gym where I had bought the gym membership, I decided to go back to my free local gym. I liked the people better and I didn’t feel like I had to be someone else to belong.
