A/C problems in the hotel are ridiculous

My partner and I paid $300 to stay at a luxurious Hotel overnight.

That might not be a lot of money to some people, but that was almost a whole week of pay for my partner and I.

It was a special occasion and we were there to celebrate. We picked a room with a jacuzzi tub big enough for two people. As soon as we entered the door, we were unhappy with the room. The water glasses were dirty and there was no toilet paper on the roll. I called the front desk and they offered to switch our rooms, but I thought it was easier for them to fix the problems. My partner and I settled in for the evening with a couple of bottles of wine. We started drinking early and it got very warm in the room. I decided to turn the AC thermostat down since both of us were feeling warm. I adjusted the AC thermostat from 72 degrees to 68 degrees. I waited a minute or two, but the AC never came on. I turned the temperature down to 65 degrees and waited. I still didn’t feel any cold air coming out of the vents. It was almost dinner time, but I called the front desk and I requested a new room. The desk clerk told me that they were all booked up for the evening. I told them that was not true because they offered to put me in a different room earlier. I told the clerk that the AC was not working and that my partner and I were not going to stay in this room without cool air.
